Alaska Airlines is adding nonstop flights from Seattle to Osaka and Tahiti next year, using Hawaiian Airlines Airbus A330s. I welcome both additions, though there is something rather interesting about flying “Hawaiian” between Washington State and Japan or French Polynesia without going anywhere near Hawaii.
Credit to Ishrion Aviation for flagging the new routes ahead of any formal announcement by Alaska:
• Seattle (SEA) to Osaka (KIX) 4 weekly from May 14
• Seattle (SEA) to Papeete (PPT) 3 weekly from June 11
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
