Lufthansa is one step closer toward offering a more competitive business class product on its A380 with the debut of a new business class seat on its superjumbo jet.
Lufthansa’s existing A380 business class product was badly outdated, with a dense 2-2-2 layout and limited privacy. For a premium-focused airline that has spent years talking about modernization, the A380 lagged badly behind competitors…even British Airways’ odd 8-across seating that at least had direct aisle access at each seat.
Business Class capacity drops from 78 seats to 68 seats, a sensible tradeoff if the result is a seat people actually want to book instead of actively avoid.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
