The move underscores Cathay Pacific’s broader North American growth strategy. The airline launched direct service between Hong Kong and Dallas-Fort Worth earlier this year, which will increase from four to seven weekly flights beginning October 26, 2025. By summer 2026, Cathay will offer more than 110 return flights per week across its North American gateways, including Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver.
“We are excited to resume direct passenger flights to Seattle, reinforcing our goal to deepen business and cultural ties between Hong Kong and a dynamic tech hub in the United States,” Lavinia Lau, chief customer and commercial officer, Cathay Pacific, said in a statement. “This route not only provides greater convenience for our customers, but also supports the growing demand for connectivity between Asia and North America, particularly among travellers from the Chinese Mainland and India.”
