Secretary of State Marco Rubio has unveiled a redesigned U.S. passport coming in 2028, complete with a larger gold eagle, illustrated American history, and a little animation when you flip through the pages. But one less glamorous change may matter more to frequent travelers: fewer pages than today’s large passport book. Oh, and Trump’s portrait may be in it too…
Called “Flight of the Eagle,” the redesign was developed by the State Department and the National Design Studio. It is scheduled to arrive in 2028. The book retains its blue cover, but moves “United States of America” above a larger, more prominent gold Great Seal.
