Loomlight has long worked to bridge this gap, sourcing and restoring original vintage industrial lighting in quantities suitable for hospitality and commercial interiors, while responding to more individual project requirements through bespoke design and manufacture. Now, the company’s move into a new Leicestershire workshop, almost three times the size of its previous premises, is making that easier than ever. With significantly greater capacity for stockholding, restoration and production, alongside investment in new machinery, Loomlight is entering its next phase of growth.
Crucially for designers, these aren’t always unique one-offs. Loomlight frequently acquires lighting in significant batches, sometimes recovering dozens — or even hundreds — of the same fixture from a single industrial site. This makes it possible to retain the authenticity and provenance of genuine vintage lighting while achieving the repetition and visual consistency required across larger hospitality projects.
The collection has been strengthened further by Loomlight’s recent acquisition of Skinflint, bringing a substantial collection of vintage lighting, components and historic stock into the business. The Skinflint lighting collection is now held alongside Loomlight’s existing inventory, adding both breadth and quantity to the pieces available for specification.
