Viking has announced it has taken delivery of the company’s newest river ship in Egypt, the Viking Ptah. The delivery ceremony for the Viking Ptah took place at Massara shipyard in Cairo, Egypt.

Hosting 82 guests in 41 staterooms, the Viking Ptah is built specifically to navigate the Nile River on Viking’s popular 12-day “Pharaohs & Pyramids” itinerary. Inspired by Viking’s river and ocean ships, the Viking Ptah and its identical sister ships feature the Scandinavian design for which Viking is known, including a distinctive square bow and an indoor/outdoor Aquavit Terrace.
