United Airlines is testing a new way to make tight connections at Newark a little less stressful: order food or travel essentials through the United app and have them waiting for you at the gate.
United will send eligible passengers a push notification or email before departure, offering a menu that includes sandwiches, salads, drinks, children’s meals, chips, candy, and other snacks. You can also order travel necessities including over-the-counter medicine, travel pillows, and charging cords.
Place the order and, rather than hunting around Terminal C for it, your items will be waiting on a designated pickup shelf near the gate.
