Today, we have a strange email from a reader who flew from Japan to Austin, TX with United Airlines this week, and United refused his international baggage re-check at SFO due to his 6-hour layover.
While some airports have rules in place that prevent baggage from being checked for overnight layovers (Tokyo Narita) or anything beyond a regular transit period, this was a same-day international to domestic connection.
