I’m an airline product geek, and I like to keep an updated list of some of the best products out there, ranging from the best first class lounges, to the best business class airlines, to the best business class lounges, to the best business class seats.
In this post, I’d like to share my updated rankings of the world’s best first class airlines for 2026, updating my previous rankings from 2024. Since the last time I updated this list, we’ve seen some airlines (Air France, Lufthansa, and SWISS) introduce new first class products, and we’ve seen some airlines (Garuda Indonesia and Oman Air) more or less eliminate first class.
First, I’d like to talk briefly about my method for ranking first class airlines, and then I’ll get into my rankings, with an explanation of each.
