Let's be honest: Airport hotels can be a mixed bag. First, they're not necessarily places you want to be. Whether you're coming or going, they're a means to an end rather than the destination itself. Sometimes we find ourselves at airport hotels by choice, like to catch some sleep before an early morning flight. And sometimes we're there because of travel woes, like a dreaded canceled flight.
Either way, it's worth noting that not all airport hotels are created equal. Most of us probably think of drab hotels that require a shuttle to reach. But the truth is, there are many incredible airport hotels in the U.S. and Canada offering runway views perfect for planespotting, chic rooms that feel like a true respite from the hectic airport and even ones with great bars and restaurants.
Best of all, some of them are actually attached to the airport, making travel easier, more convenient and … wait for it … relaxing.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on The Points Guy Articles.
