Southwest Airlines has released the first rendering of the Southwest Icon Lounge at Nashville International Airport, giving advisors and their clients an early glimpse of what the carrier’s first-ever airport lounge network will look like when it debuts in late 2027.
The Nashville location anchors a broader lounge rollout developed in partnership with Chase. Southwest says the spaces will pair premium amenities with design that nods to each airport’s local character, layered over the people-first hospitality the airline has long treated as its calling card. The pitch is a place to unwind, catch up on work, or simply settle in before a flight, which is new territory for a carrier that built its identity on a no-frills model.
Getting through the door will require a new premium Rapid Rewards Credit Card from Chase, also slated to launch in 2027. Southwest has not yet released pricing, additional lounge locations, or whether elite-status members will have an access path that doesn’t run through the card.
