Six Senses has opened its first hotel in the United Kingdom inside The Whiteley, a restored former department store on Bayswater’s Queensway, bringing 109 rooms and a 25,000-square-foot spa to a building that dates to the Victorian era.

The property, which is part of IHG’s luxury portfolio, occupies a portion of a mixed-use redevelopment that spans more than one million square feet and sits within a broader £3 billion regeneration of the Queensway corridor near Hyde Park and Notting Hill.
