I want to say at the outset that I am really rooting for American Airlines…I want the carrier to succeed and be a strong competitor to Delta Air Lines and United Airlines. I also laud the many investments AA has made in its onboard product and technology over the last two years. But it simply isn’t there yet and my latest A321T journey from Los Angeles to New York in business class was my worst yet…and that’s saying a lot.
Unfortunately, as these seats on the A321T reach the end of their shelf life, AA has failed to maintain them…pathetically so. Although AA recently seemed to wake up and decide that it must maintain these aircraft in a new initiative it calls OneCabin, my recent flight from LAX-JFK is a perfect example of how short AA falls…and truly how pathetic this product is.
The airline is adding 60+ maintenance techs and deploying dedicated teams across CLT, DFW, LAX, MIA, PHL and PHX to speed repairs…
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
