The lounge was full when I arrived, but emptied out by the time I left.

Review: Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge Taipei, Where The Garlic Bread Steals The Show

I really enjoyed my visit to the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge in Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) and the reason can be summed up in two words: garlic bread. Actually, this lounge has a lot of excellent food and is worth a stop, especially if you are hungry. Here’s my full review.

Singapore Airlines currently lists the lounge as open daily from 8:20 am to 5:45 pm, which is clearly designed around Singapore Airlines’ own Taipei departures. If you are departing later in the evening, the lounge will be closed.

Access is available to Singapore Airlines and Star Alliance business class and first class passengers, as well as Star Alliance Gold members departing on a Star Alliance flight, regardless of service class. Star Alliance Gold members may bring one guest, provided the guest is departing on the same flight.

A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
