Review: Hyatt Regency Taoyuan International Airport (TPE)

The Hyatt Regency Taoyuan International Airport is an excellent airport hotel with comfortable rooms and a particularly nice gym, pool, and wellness facilities with very easy access to TPE Airport via shuttle or train.

Since I don’t generate points as quickly as I used to, I tend to pay cash unless I’m really getting more than three cents per point so that I can save the point for more exotic five-star properties that I would not otherwise pay to stay at. I’ve also lost my Globalist status, but there was really no need for one on this stay. Instead, I applied a Club Award so that my breakfast would be covered.

The bill was 5,140 TWD (4,880 plus tax), or the equivalent of 162.85 USD…an excellent price and much cheaper than the Grand Hyatt in Taipei. Had I used points, it was a category 2 hotel so:
