Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are back in Britain, arriving with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet after flying privately from Southern California to Birmingham. Let’s take a look at how they flew there, which is different than the past several trips on British Airways or American Airlines.
The nonstop journey was operated by Planet Nine Private Air using a Bombardier Global Express XRS (N300SC), an ultra-long-range business jet capable of flying up to roughly 5,830 nautical miles and remaining airborne for around 12 hours. Planet Nine’s XRS aircraft can accommodate roughly 13-14 passengers, depending upon the specific aircraft, and include sleeping accommodations for six, two lavatories, and high-speed internet.
That’s quite a contrast from some of Harry’s previous trips across the Atlantic. I’ve documented him flying American Airlines first class to London, taking British Airways to visit King Charles, and earlier this year, the couple even flew Qantas business class to Australia (though Harry and Meghan did use a private jet after Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee).
