Park Hyatt is having a moment, and Mexico City is its next chapter. The brand has tapped Christophe Hilty as general manager of Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco, the luxury hotel slated to open in early 2027 in one of the capital’s most coveted neighborhoods.
Hilty will steer the property through its pre-opening journey, bringing more than 25 years of international luxury hospitality experience to Park Hyatt’s forthcoming Mexico City debut. His mandate covers operational readiness, team recruitment, culture development and market positioning, with an emphasis on the highly personalized service and residentially inspired elegance that define the brand.
The appointment lands at a high point for Park Hyatt. The brand reopened its iconic Tokyo flagship in December 2025 following a 19-month restoration — the most comprehensive renewal in the property’s 30-year history — and has a run of high-profile debuts on the horizon, including this Mexico City project and Park Hyatt Phu Quoc, the brand’s first resort in Vietnam, expected later in 2026.
