More than three decades after Robert De Niro first arrived in Barbuda by boat and fell under the spell of its pristine, powder-soft coastline, his vision for the island is finally coming to life. Nobu Hospitality has announced the Nobu Beach Inn as part of The Beach Club, Barbuda — a low-density resort and residential community set across 400 acres and two miles of beachfront on the island’s southwest coast, with construction set for completion in late 2026.

The project, created in partnership with James Packer and Daniel Shamoon, builds on the acclaimed Nobu Barbuda restaurant and beach lounge that opened on Princess Diana Beach in 2020 and has since become a destination in its own right. The Beach Inn represents the full realization of what De Niro has described as a deeply personal endeavor — a place rooted in the unhurried rhythms of island life, conceived in the spirit of a more gracious, unencumbered era.
