One of my favorite perks on my Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is the annual $300 travel credit.
Every year on your cardholder anniversary, you receive a $300 credit for bookings made via the Capital One Travel portal. The perk nearly offsets the entire $395 annual fee on its own, and it's incredibly easy to use.
I almost always prefer to book my travel directly as opposed to using a third party like a credit card issuer portal. But there are a few reasons to use Capital One's travel portal (aside from the ability to use the annual credit on eligible bookings), including elevated earning rates, price prediction to help you book your trip at the best time and price protection when you use the prediction feature.
