After reaching SFO on the Devil’s Chariot, I made a beeline for the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, my favorite Star Alliance at San Francisco International.
My drink of choice in this lounge is the Last Word, which is a gin-based cocktail with green chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, and fresh lime juice. Always delicious.
Although it was late in the day, I had a double cappuccino as well. First, because I wanted to stay awake and get my work done for the next day so that I when I got to Greenland I could take the rest of the day and the following day off. Second, because Kaaba was there and he just has the perfect touch in making a strong but perfectly-balanced cappuccino (I prefer half and half to to the 2% low-fat default…it balances out the coffee nicely).
