After a redeye flight that was both too short and too long, I was ready to wake myself up with a shower and coffee in Newark Airport…but it required a bit of legwork.
A Refreshing Newark Layover: Shower, Coffee, And Breakfast At The United Club
I did manage to fall asleep after the commotion, but the Denver – Newark flight is far too short and the cabin was soon flooded with the gentle light of dawn as we landed at Newark Liberty.
Stepping off the plane, I saw that we had landed in the A Gates and my connection to Nuuk, Greenland was also departing from the A Gates…and there was also a United Club in the A Gates. But I headed to the C Gates. Why?
For a shower and barista coffee. The C123 United Club is the only one of the three United Clubs at EWR (and indeed, the only United Club in the entire domestic system) that offers showers.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
