Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino has officially opened The Westerly, a 161-room boutique-style tower on Palm Beach that the ownership group is positioning as a new benchmark for premium travel on the island.
The Westerly, which has been in development for the last two years, takes its name from Aruba’s east-to-west winds and is designed to layer a more intimate, personalized experience on top of the existing resort’s broader amenities. Rooms and suites (all with balconies, including oceanfront accommodations with expansive terraces and select adults-only swim-up options) were designed by Jeffrey Beers International in collaboration with SB Architects, drawing on mid-century design with natural materials and locally inspired details.
The wider Hilton Aruba property — the first luxury resort ever built on the island — also recently opened Shore Club, a new beachfront restaurant with its own rooftop, giving the resort a claim as the only property in Aruba with three distinct rooftop experiences. The Eforea spa debuted a recent renovation as well, adding cold plunge pools and a dedicated relaxation space.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Luxury Travel Advisor.
