The installation covers easyJet’s Airbus A320, A320neo and A321neo aircraft. Alongside general internet access, the airline says passengers will be able to check flight status through its app or website and find destination information, including weather, transport and tourism details. The system is also expected to enable ordering from the onboard menu while seated in flight.
EasyJet described the installation as part of its effort to expand onboard services and appeal to business and leisure travelers. Its chief executive said the partnership would add choice and convenience, while SpaceX said the connection is designed to remain available from take-off to landing. The company framed the service as a way to support work, streaming and contact throughout journeys.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on InsideFlyer.
