Delta Air Lines is postponing its Atlanta–Riyadh launch until March 2027 following the deadly attacks on Riyadh Airport. It is the right decision, of course, but the delay also gives Delta time to reconsider a route that was already highly suspect before security became the overriding concern.

The airline cited “evolving developments in the region” and said:

The route was scheduled to begin on October 23, with daily flights through October 30 before transitioning to three flights per week on an Airbus A350-900.
