Case study: Modieus gives The Epping Club a bespoke carpet makeover

Modieus worked with Altis Architecture to create bespoke carpet for the multi-million-dollar refurbishment of The Epping Club’s event spaces in Sydney. The renewed interiors balance classical architectural details with a richer, more expressive palette, creating the perfect destination for weddings, celebrations and corporate events.

The project follows the Epping Events team’s recognition as number one in its venue category at the 2025 Wedding Industry Awards Greater Sydney. The accolade reflects the Club’s established reputation for service, professionalism and guest experience.

“Altis developed a rich, classic palette inspired by the colours and tones of the Australian landscape. Caramel and deep burgundy carpets sit against soft tonal grey walls and warm timber, with touches of blush and natural green coming through in the furniture and upholstery. Traditional moulding details are paired with playful architectural elements, large scale floral graphics and quirky furniture, curved forms and contemporary lighting, giving the spaces a balance of old and new.

A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Hotel Designs.
