According to reports, a cargo aircraft carrying Amazon’s Prime Air branding overran a runway at Miami International Airport on Sunday afternoon, September 6, 2026 prompting a ground stop and disrupting flights.
Early reports described a possible crash. There is now a more concrete account: the FAA says a Boeing 767-300 operating as 21 Air Flight 7598 (tail N1997A) overran the runway after landing around 2:11 pm local time (EDY). The flight originated in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Amazon often operates under charter or utilizes another carrier to operate and staff flights.
