American Airlines is not just bringing seatback screens back to its narrowbody fleet. It is also making a much bigger bet on premium seating, increasing the share of First Class and Main Cabin Extra seats from about 25% today to roughly 40% in the coming years. For frequent flyers, this is more important news than the seatback screens!
Chief Customer Officer Heather Garboden framed the changes broadly:
Main Cabin Extra will expand across most of the narrowbody fleet as well, giving American considerably more extra-legroom inventory to sell.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
