American Airlines CEO Robert Isom visited the Oval Office yesterday for a meeting with President Donald Trump and other travel industry executives, where he offered some rather effusive praise for the administration and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. I don’t read too much into it. Airlines are heavily regulated businesses and cultivating the people currently running Washington is simply good business.
The gathering included executives from American Airlines, Hilton, Marriott, MGM Resorts, Caesars Entertainment, Carnival, Booking Holdings, IHG, and other large travel companies.
