Our favorite Mr & Mrs Smith hotels to book using Hyatt points

Mr & Mrs Smith is a collection of boutique and luxury hotels, most of which are otherwise independent. But, similar to how you can book select Small Luxury Hotels of the World properties through Hilton Honors, you can book select Mr & Mrs Smith properties through the World of Hyatt program.
Hyatt acquired Mr & Mrs Smith in 2023, and some Mr & Mrs Smith properties became bookable through World of Hyatt in April 2024. While most World of Hyatt bookings follow the Hyatt award chart with its category-based off-peak, standard and peak pricing rates, stays at Mr & Mrs Smith properties, unfortunately, use dynamic award pricing.

HYATT

Award pricing isn't the only way Mr & Mrs Smith stays will differ from most other stays for World of Hyatt members. After all, most World of Hyatt benefits and perks don't apply to Mr & Mrs Smith stays, even when they're booked through Hyatt. Interestingly, below are the only true World of Hyatt benefits you can expect on eligible Mr & Mrs Smith stays booked through Hyatt:

  • Earn 5 base points per dollar spent on room rates, plus your standard elite tier bonus.
  • Earn 4 bonus points per dollar on room rates if you pay with your World of Hyatt Credit Card (see rates and fees) or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card (see rates and fees).
  • Hyatt Globalist members are eligible for a room upgrade, if available, at check-in.
  • Earn the Mr & Mrs Smith tile for the Brand Explorer promotion on your first eligible stay.
  • All members earn tier-qualifying night credits.
  • All members can redeem Hyatt points for stays.

Finally, remember that while you can redeem Hyatt points for stays at Mr & Mrs Smith properties, you can't redeem other types of Hyatt free night awards (such as Category 1-4 certificates).
Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary is an excellent points option if you want to visit Bhutan. The property has just 24 rooms, but former TPG writer Ryan Smith stayed at the Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary in 2023 and called his stay "life-changing."

SMALL LUXURY HOTELS

The property is just 20 minutes from Paro International Airport (PBH) — Bhutan's only international airport — and rates include most of what you'll need on-site from check-in to checkout. Specifically, all rates include one wellness treatment a day, yoga and meditation sessions, meals, snacks, nonalcoholic drinks (including 25 different types of tea), house wines, local beers and some laundry.

Although the hotel is near Paro, it feels remote and peaceful in the piney Neyphu Valley. Whether you want to relax on-site with meditation, cooking classes and books from the hotel's library or venture out on hikes around Paro (including the popular Tiger's Nest Monastery hike), the Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary is a great base.

Bhutan's tourism laws mean you'll have to arrange a lot of your trip in advance, but the hotel can help book transfers and guides once you've obtained your tourism visa. Regarding the tourism visa, remember that even on award stays, you must pay the Bhutan government a mandatory Sustainable Development Fee of $100 per night per person when applying for your visa (on top of the $40 per person visa fee).

Bluebird Talta Lodge — Vermont

Bluebird Talta Lodge in Stowe, Vermont, is a good option if you love hiking, skiing or other outdoor pursuits. The lodge has 51 rooms, including four suites. Stowe Mountain Resort's ski slopes are just a 10-minute drive away.

Bluebird Talta Lodge
HYATT

This lodge takes recreation seriously, having its own pump track, hot tub and yoga room. Each guest room has a modular gear-hanging wall and a private locker or closet for gear storage.
Rates at Bluebird Talta Lodge start at $184 or 16,250 World of Hyatt points per night.

Callicoon Hills — New York

Callicoon Hills is near the Pennsylvania border but sits on the west side of the Catskills in New York. This resort has a summer camp-meets-casual luxury vibe, with retro room designs and comfortable furnishings.
The resort has a pool open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from June to October, an indoor game room, a lounge area with a fireplace, and outdoor areas with fire pits. During appropriate seasons, lawn games are also on offer. Plus, the resort's 19th-century English Haypress Barn can host events if you're looking for a rustic venue.
Most, if not all, guests will want a car during their stay due to the resort's remote location and the plethora of hiking, shopping and other activities in the surrounding towns.
Cherero Camp is in a remote part of Serengeti National Park, perfect for safaris and stargazing. The six-room camp overlooks the Musabi Plains and is in one of the main corridors for the great migration from May through July.

Cherero Camp
HYATT

Each room is a canvas tent built atop a hardwood platform, with a large veranda facing the sunrise. Don't let the word tent scare you, though, as they offer proper beds, electricity and private indoor showers.
If Cherero Camp is full for your dates or you prefer a slightly different location, it may be worth considering its sister property, Aurari Camp, which is also bookable through World of Hyatt.
Dar One in Marrakech, Morocco, is one of the more affordable Mr & Mrs Smith properties participating in World of Hyatt. But it also offers a special experience: a chance to stay in a renovated Moroccan riad with just six guest rooms.

Dar One in Morocco
PHILIPPE DOIGNON/HYATT

This adults-only gem is hidden at the end of a gated alleyway in the Jewish quarter of the Marrakech medina. Inside the riad, you'll find a cosy lounge with an open fireplace and a roof terrace with a Jacuzzi, sun loungers and day beds.
Rates include breakfast. You can purchase other meals at the riad, but you'll need to give at least a few hours' notice so the cooks can prepare.

Eriro — Austria

Eriro in Austria is remote but relatively simple to access. It's usually just a 10-minute walk from the top station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn cable car, but in the winter, a guide can accompany you with snowshoes or a snowmobile.

Eriro, part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World
ALEX MOLING/SMALL LUXURY HOTELS

Rates include meals, drinks (excluding some spirits), parking at the Ehrwalder Almbahn base station, guided local experiences, weather-appropriate mountain kit and cable-car tickets or ski passes (depending on the season). However, only guests 14 and up are welcome.
The rooms at Eriro are comfortable and extremely well designed. However, note that it can be difficult to find availability for longer stays at Eriro, especially since the property only has nine suites.
Ibagari Boutique Hotel is a relaxed beachfront resort in Honduras, just a 25-minute drive from Roatan's Juan Manuel Galvez International Airport (RTB). It's one of the only upscale boutique hotels in this area that you can book through a major hotel loyalty program.

Ibagari Boutique Hotel
HYATT

This adults-only resort has just eight rooms, but offers a PADI diving center and an ocean-facing infinity pool with a built-in hot tub. The resort also has an oceanside restaurant and bar, Luna Muna, that's popular with guests and locals.
Rates at Ibagari Boutique Hotel start at $546 or 38,000 World of Hyatt points per night.

Leeu Estates — South Africa

Leeu Estates in Franschhoek, South Africa, is a great option to redeem points for a stay at a wine estate. This 17-room property is about an hour from Cape Town and features gardens, vineyards and great views of the Franschhoek valley and surrounding mountains.

Leeu Estages
HYATT

The property has a three-room spa in the vineyard, an infinity pool overlooking the vineyards, a tranquil adults-only pool at the spa and a well-equipped gym. When you want to explore, you can enjoy a free scheduled local shuttle service.
The hotel's Le Chene restaurant offers French cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant's terrace offers relaxing views over the vineyards.
Rates at Leeu Estates start at $866 or 63,000 World of Hyatt points per night.

Les Sources de Caudalie — France

Les Sources de Caudalie — about 30 minutes from Bordeaux, France — is another great wine estate you can book with Hyatt points. This wine estate has 60 rooms, including 21 suites.

Les Sources de Caudalie
HYATT

But you stay at this wine estate for its Caudalie Vinotherapie Spa and the neighboring Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte winery. The spa has 19 treatment rooms, including three for couples and several with private barrel baths.
The estate's primary pool is in a converted barn, while an outdoor heated pool is open from May to October. You can also enjoy an outdoor hot tub filled with water from a natural hot spring.

Les Sources de Caudalie
HYATT

Besides Bar Rouge, you'll find two other restaurants at Les Sources de Caudalie: La Grand'Vigne (which received two Michelin stars) and the more relaxed La Table du Lavoir. La Grand'Vigne overlooks the lake and vegetable garden, and it offers seasonal tasting menus and a la carte options. Meanwhile, La Table du Lavoir pulls diners in with the smells of meat roasting on its huge fireplace. You can also enjoy drinks surrounded by classical artworks and antiques at the French Paradox bar.
Matachica Resort & Spa in Belize is a beachfront paradise exclusively for guests 16 years and older. It features 32 palapas, including 23 suites — most of which sit along a white-sand beach. Be sure to look at room photos before booking, as you may find some palapas a bit basic for the cost.

Matachica Resort
SMALL LUXURY HOTELS

When you need a break from the beach, head to the freshwater unheated outdoor infinity pool or Jacuzzi. Or, enjoy a facial, scrub or massage at the resort's two-room spa.
Most rates include breakfast, but you can purchase lunch and dinner at the resort's Mambo restaurant. The restaurant specializes in Caribbean-fusion dishes and usually offers a catch of the day. You can sit on the outdoor terrace under an umbrella if you prefer the natural sea breeze.
Morgan's Rock Hacienda and Ecolodge in Nicaragua is an eco-friendly nature paradise with 15 bungalows, including five with private pools, and plenty of wildlife. The open-air bungalows do not have air conditioning, but the beds have a sea-breeze machine designed to keep you comfortable at night.

Morgan's Rock Hacienda
HYATT

There's a small chlorinated pool that you might enjoy if your bungalow doesn't have a private pool. Plus, you'll find a small child-friendly pool too. But the beach is perhaps the more popular place to hang out, especially since you can chill in a hammock or a shaded lounger. Drinks from Mike's Beach Bar are available on the beach, and nonmotorized water sports activities are included.
Finally, you won't go hungry at Morgan's Rock, unless you're scared of crossing the suspension bridge to the La Bastide dining pavilion. Rates include breakfast, and the resort has a farm, with about 60% of ingredients grown or produced on-site.
TPG's Eric Rosen wrote a review of Origins Lodge in Costa Rica, which only has seven stand-alone lodges. Each of the lodges has a private hot tub on its terrace, which is heated by the adjacent wood-burning stove. You can also open the wooden shutters around your lodge to let in fresh breezes.

Origins Lodge
RYAN FORBES/HYATT

Despite having just seven lodges, Origins Lodge still has a thatched Laka-Tii Spa Suite in the jungle that offers plant-based treatments. You can also partake in yoga classes, meditation sessions and breath work therapy on-site; you can also organize individualized holistic wellness programs.
Origins Lodge is remote — about a 90-minute drive from Liberia, Costa Rica — but you can enjoy hikes, birdwatching, fishing and nature walks without leaving the property. You can also visit the hotel's farm and organic garden and organize tours to nearby attractions based on your preferences.
The adults-only Royal Davui Island Resort Fiji is on a private, reef-fringed island in Beqa Lagoon. Most rates include meals, nonmotorized water sports, sunset canapes, evening entertainment and access to a weekly beach barbecue and kava ceremony.

Royal Davui Island Resort Fiji
HYATT

Each of the 16 rooms has a Jacuzzi spa bath, open-air shower and a private deck with a plunge pool.
You'll also find a small spa, pool, water sports center, dive shop and library with free Wi-Fi on-site. You can enjoy complimentary kayaks, catamarans, paddle boards, snorkeling gear and guided island snorkeling tours. However, snorkeling trips to the outer reef and all diving trips cost extra.

Royal Davui Island Resort Fiji
HYATT

To get to Royal Davui Island Resort, you can drive or fly from Nadi International Airport (NAN), Fiji's primary international airport, to Pacific Harbour; then, you can catch a 30-minute launch ride across Beqa Lagoon to the resort. If you take the flight option, a shared round-trip transfer from Nadi is FJ$1,050 (about $467) per person round-trip.
San Luis Creek Lodge in San Luis Obispo, California, was formerly a roadside inn. This makes it a great stop on a drive along the California coast, but it's also a good option if you want to explore the sites around San Luis Obispo. And if you enjoy wine tasting, Paso Robles isn't far away.

San Luis Creek Lodge
HYATT

The San Luis Creek Lodge doesn't have an on-site restaurant, but you can walk to downtown San Luis Obispo in 20 minutes (or borrow a bike from the hotel and get there in just five minutes). But, as a bed and breakfast, the lodge delivers coffee and pastries to your room in a tote bag each morning at 7:30 a.m.
The Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat in St. Lucia is adults only and seems perfect for chocolate lovers. Each of the 25 lodges has an in-room hot chocolate machine, and next to the hotel, there's a working cacao farm that hosts classes and tours.

The Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat
HYATT

During your stay, you can utilize the daily shuttle service to Malgretoute Beach. But the hotel's pool is also a great place to chill, with its beautiful black quartz lining, sun loungers and drink service. You can even enjoy chocolate-centered treatments at the Cocoa Spa.
You can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel's open-air Rabot Restaurant. Most rates include a full English breakfast each morning, but you can pay for additional cocoa-inspired meals at lunch and dinner. Drinks, including chocolate cocktails, are available at the Cacao Bar.
Under Canvas Zion in Utah is on the western edge of Zion National Park. At this 66-key Under Canvas property, you can glamp in high-quality tents with king-size beds, ensuite bathrooms, wood-burning stoves, battery-powered fans and USB battery packs. Note: Under Canvas Zion usually closes for a few months each winter.

Under Canvas Zion
HYATT

Under Canvas Zion, guests can take yoga classes, play indoor and outdoor games, have nightly s'mores sessions, and enjoy unlimited coffee and tea. There is no Wi-Fi or TVs on-site, but you'll want to spend most of your time exploring the national park, relaxing around the campfire and sleeping.
Keep in mind that you'll want a car for this stay. After all, it would be sad to be so close to Zion National Park and not be able to easily see it and embark on some of its hikes.
You can earn and redeem Hyatt points at participating Mr & Mrs Smith properties when you book through World of Hyatt. So, here's what you need to know about the partnership between Mr & Mrs Smith and World of Hyatt and some of the best Mr & Mrs Smith properties to book through Hyatt.

Rates at Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary start at $911 or 79,250 World of Hyatt points per night.
A car is essential if you stay at Bluebird Talta Lodge, as there's no restaurant on-site. However, you can buy wine, coffee and local beer from the lobby bar on Thursday through Sunday.
There are 62 rooms, including two suites. Most rooms are in the pool house, boarding house or hill house, but there are also some A-frame rooms in a 23-acre Glamping Ridge area that you can hike to. The rooms don't have TVs, but there is free Wi-Fi on-site. However, note that the A-frame rooms don't have air conditioning and that private bathrooms for each A-frame are a short walk away in a shared bathhouse.
Rates don't usually include meals. However, you can purchase breakfast in the Rise & Shine Coffee Shop (which opens at 8 a.m.), and the Conover Club serves dinner Thursday to Sunday nights as well as brunch on the weekends.
Rates at Callicoon Hills start at $145 or 13,750 World of Hyatt points per night.
All rates include breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, the camp doesn't accept self-driving guests, so you must also pay for game drives and transfers from Seronera Airstrip (SEU).
Rates at Cherero Camp start at $1,139 or 88,250 World of Hyatt points per night.
All the rooms have air conditioning, but beware that the aptly named Petit Prince room is small. If you're not traveling solo, getting a larger room may be worth paying a little more.
Rates at Dar One start at $87 or 6,250 World of Hyatt points per night.
As you might expect, there are plenty of skiing and hiking areas directly accessible from the hotel. You can also borrow snowshoes and bikes or attend wood-making workshops and yodelling classes. Enjoy various guided experiences, ranging from hikes and cooking lessons to foraging and wildlife tracking. And back at the hotel, you'll find three meditative pools that you can book for private use between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Rates at Eriro start at $2,309 or 176,250 World of Hyatt points per night.
The entire resort looks ultra relaxing and comfortable. Most rooms have a private balcony or terrace overlooking the ocean — the perfect place to relax after a day of snorkeling or diving.
Rates usually include an English breakfast each morning and complimentary wine tastings in the hotel's wine studio. Rooms also include free Wi-Fi, complimentary red wine and homemade snacks.
If Leeu Estates is fully booked, you may want to consider its sister property, Leeu House, which is also bookable through World of Hyatt.
You can walk from the spa through the vineyards and past a lake to Bar Rouge, a wine bar perfect for brunches and sharing plates. Be sure to check out the sculptures as you wander the property. You can also borrow one of the hotel's bikes to explore the surrounding countryside. But you'll likely want a car to explore further abroad.
Les Sources de Caudalie rates start at $367 or 22,125 World of Hyatt points per night.
Many guests opt primarily for relaxation. But, you can book a Matachina guide for a kayak or snorkel along the barrier reef or fish with a Matachina captain. You can also book scuba diving trips with the resort's concierge. Plus, you can take the hotel shuttle or catch a water taxi into nearby San Pedro for local shopping and dining.
Matachica Resort & Spa rates start at $383 or 90,500 World of Hyatt points per night, although most dates require at least a two-night stay.
The resort has a spa, but it's casual and has a beach-shack vibe, complete with a sandy floor. You can borrow mountain bikes to explore the surrounding areas during your stay.
Morgan's Rock Hacienda and Ecolodge rates start at $492 or 30,375 World of Hyatt points per night.
The infinity pool in front of the restaurant offers great views over Lake Nicaragua and Tenorio Volcano. Speaking of the restaurant, El Salto is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The restaurant uses many ingredients that are sourced from the lodge's gardens, farm and lakes, or from local suppliers.
Rates at Origins Lodge start at $1,043 or 74,500 World of Hyatt points per night.
The Banyan Restaurant and Bar near reception is where you'll eat most of your meals (although you can also order room service). You can get drinks from the bar, but you'll need to pay for them. Luckily, a daily happy hour is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Royal Davui Island Resort Fiji rates start at $1,481 or 112,500 World of Hyatt points per night, although most dates require at least a three-night stay.
San Luis Creek Lodge rates start at $199 or 16,250 World of Hyatt points per night.
There are only two room types: lodges and lux lodges. The lux lodges offer more space and better views, but every lodge has an open-sky rainfall shower in a neat rock-walled space.
Rates at The Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat start at $460 or 42,000 World of Hyatt points per night.
Food isn't allowed in tents, but you can eat at Embers, a casual restaurant serving breakfast and dinner in the camp's main lobby tent. You'll also find beer, wine and ample nonalcoholic options at the hotel bar.
Rates at Under Canvas Zion start at $368 or 26,250 World of Hyatt points per night.
