An American Airlines passenger says she paid extra for a better seat, only to spend the flight pressed against a large seatmate who occupied part of her space. I’ve written about passengers of size many times, and my position is unchanged: if you take up more than one seat, you need to pay for it. Sorry.
She wrote:
We have her account rather than a full explanation from American or her seatmate. I also cannot tell whether the touching she described was deliberate or simply the result of being squeezed together. But if he was occupying part of her seat, that was already a problem the crew needed to address and either is unacceptable.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
