Paris has many charming neighborhoods to choose from, but where you stay depends on what you hope to experience. For museums, stick to the 1st or 8th arrondisements near the Louvre and several other major institutions. For nightlife, there’s always the Marais in the 4th arrondisement, while the 7th arrondisement is close to the Eiffel Tower, plenty of museums and the luxury stores of Boulevard Saint Germain.
