Wizz Air has teamed up with Romanian pop star INNA for a Wizz Air-themed summer song called “Wizz Away.” I have no idea who INNA is, but the song is actually catchy and the marketing move is at least more memorable than another fare sale…though I’d think the budget carrier would want to place its upcoming Starlink Wi-Fi as front and center of any ad campaign?
INNA, whose real name is Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu, is a Romanian singer best known for her 2008 hit “Hot.” I will confess that I had no idea who she was before this story, though I am not exactly up to date on American pop singers either, so that may say more about me than her.
The song was released on June 12, 2026, with a music video filmed in front of a Wizz Air aircraft at Bucharest Otopeni Airport. Wizz Air describes it as a “feel-good summer anthem” inspired by spontaneous travel, and that is exactly what it sounds like.
