It goes without saying that there’s no “one size fits all” answer as to what the best hotel credit card is. However, there’s one credit card that I’ve consistently gotten the most value from, and which I’ve had for the longest amount of time, and I’d like to talk about that in this post. Specifically, I’m talking about the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card (learn more). This is Hilton’s most premium card, and while it has a $550 annual fee (Rates & Fees), I find that the benefits more than justify the fee.
This is an especially good time to apply for the card, given that it has a limited time welcome offer. For applications through July 29, 2026, the card has a welcome offer to earn 175,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after spending $6,000 in purchases on the Card within the first six months. However, this is a card that you don’t just get for the initial offer, but instead, you get it for the long term value that it provides.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on One Mile at a Time.
