United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby marked the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks by remembering the 18 United employees who were killed and thanking the veterans who now work for the airline.

United is a really big company, but this is a day that we also remember that we’re a family, and 25 years ago, we lost 18 of our family members in the tragedy of 9/11.

So today is a day to take a moment and remember the sacrifices and remember the losses that we had 25 years ago. But it’s also a day to thank all the men and women who served this country or continue to serve this country. Thousands of you now work at United Airlines.
