British Airways’ worst nightmare is about to come true, as the UK’s government has approved the 2nd runway for Gatwick, while the 3rd runway for Heathrow has been in the talks for about as long as I can remember.
The current northern runway will be moved 12 meters and can then be used for short-haul flights, as it has currently been used for taxiing or as a backup.
