Syrian Airlines unveiled a new look at Damascus International Airport last night, with an elaborate reveal ceremony and ambitious plans to expand its fleet and route network. The green and gold design is a striking change another sign of Syria trying to rebuild its place in the world after years of civil war in the Assad era.
The nighttime presentation included an elaborate light show around the aircraft, with footage of the reveal now circulating online:
With Syria finally reopening air traffic to Europe and beyond, this rebranding marks a triumphant return. Last month Syrian Airlines re-launched service to Amsterdam (AMS), Copenhagen (CPH), and Vienna (VIE), with routes to Germany and France in planning stages.
