IHG has close to never ending buy points promotion (there is now one as well), but earlier this month (read more here) there was a rather interesting twist with their offer, as it offered 3,500 bonus points as a separate transaction.
The promotion T&Cs stated that these extra points would post within 6 weeks, but they posted just over a week after the offer ended.
