Sigríður Margrét Oddsdóttir has been appointed CEO of Blue Lagoon, effective March 16, 2026. Grímur Sæmundsen, who has been CEO of Blue Lagoon since its establishment in 1992, will then step down but will take a seat on the company’s board of directors at the next annual general meeting.
“We welcome Sigríður Margrét to the company. I believe this is the right time for the company and me to step aside as CEO and entrust others to tackle the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. I look forward to working with Sigríður Margrét,” Sæmundsen said in a statement.
