Rosewood Hotels Selling Gift Cards With 10% Bonus: Worth It?

If you have any upcoming stays with luxury hotel group Rosewood, here’s an opportunity to save a bit of money…

Obviously one should only consider this promotion if they have a Rosewood stay coming up, ideally in the near future (you wouldn’t want to buy it if you only stay at a Rosewood every few years, since you’re paying now, and basically giving Rosewood an interest free loan).

There are a few other things to keep in mind:

  • I’m not sure how Rosewood gift card purchases are processed, but odds are that it won’t count as hotel spending, so you might want to use the best card for everyday spending, rather than the best card for hotel spending
  • Sometimes there’s a hassle factor to using gift cards, with front desk agents not being too familiar with how to use them; that’s not a huge issue, but it could make the check-out process a bit longer
  • If you’re traveling for business, it can add a bit of complexity to expense something if redeeming a gift card rather than paying with a business card, for example

If you have a Rosewood stay coming up in the near future, it could absolutely be worth taking advantage of this, as a 10% bonus is better than nothing. However, this isn’t some deal that I’d be rushing to use otherwise.

Do you plan on taking advantage of this Rosewood gift card deal?
