Air India’s A350-900 business class offered a fabulous experience on my short flight from Delhi to Mumbai, with a comfortable suite, excellent service, a delicious Indian lunch, and complimentary Wi-Fi. I voluntarily gave up first class to take this flight and was very glad I did.
A comfortable bed is hardly necessary on a journey this short. Nevertheless, I appreciated the chance to stretch out after lunch, and the food and service were excellent. In terms of a two-hour domestic flight, it really does not get much better than this.
Part of the attraction was the opportunity to visit Air India’s new first class lounge in Delhi. But that lounge is on the international side of the airport, and my domestic first class ticket would not get me inside (I certainly tired but was not going to engage in any ticketing shenanigans).
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
