Pope Leo XIV is back in the cockpit…this time on Air France. His flight across France included a visit with the pilots, a fighter escort, and a radio blessing for the military crews flying alongside him. The pope is building quite an aviation résumé…
According to AFP, the pope joined Captain Clémence Coussonneau and co-pilot Eric Marguerite during the cruise portion of the flight. Marguerite described informal conversations with a passenger who was clearly interested in what was going on up front:
Sound familiar? In June, Leo enjoyed a cockpit visit on Iberia between Madrid and Barcelona, also with a fighter escort and a radio exchange with the pilots.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
