Lufthansa is dropping the “Green Fares” name after legal challenges over its environmental advertising, replacing it with “Impact Fares.”  My reaction is just to snicker at Lufthansa for trying to guilt passengers with greenwashing in the first place.

The airline explains:

The fares were introduced in 2023, and more than five million passengers have booked them. They include contributions toward sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and climate protection projects, along with additional miles, status points, and certain rebooking benefits, depending on the fare.
