I Had The Entire 777 First Class Cabin To Myself On Singapore Airlines!

I wound up as the only passenger in first class on my Singapore Airlines 777 flight from Jakarta to Singapore, an extra special treat on the first leg of my journey home.

There were a couple of other passengers in the first class section of the lounge, so I thought the cabin would be 3/4 filled, but as I walked onboard, the purser Christine said, “Welcome back, Mr. Klint.” After I was seated and offered a pre-departure beverage, she told me I was the only passenger onboard and that we’d arrive on-time at Changi Airport for my rather tight connection to London.

The first class seats on the 777 are massive…35 inches wide and they convert to a bed that is 81 inches long. There are no overhead bins, but plenty of room for your carry-on on inside the suite (no doors, though). It was still dark out, so my pictures did not quite turn out the way I would have liked:

A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
