Etihad Airways Launching Abu Dhabi To Charlotte Flights As Of March 2026

In May 2025, Etihad Airways announced its newest destination in the United States (in addition to announcing a Boeing aircraft order). The airline is currently undergoing a major expansion, and it seems like the airline is adding at least one new destination in the United States per year. There’s an interesting update, as the airline has just moved forward the start of this service by several weeks.

EY15 Abu Dhabi to Charlotte departing 3:35AM arriving 10:40AM
EY16 Charlotte to Abu Dhabi departing 3:10PM arriving 12:25PM (+1 day)

The route will operate 4x weekly in both directions, on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The 7,408-mile flight is blocked at 15hr5min westbound and 13hr15min eastbound. For what it’s worth, initially the route was supposed to launch as of May 4, 2026.

A great solo travel tip spotted this week on One Mile at a Time.
