I recently flew into Burbank Airport during the final operational days of its old 96-year-old terminal, bringing an airport chapter that began with my very first flight in 1987 to a fitting close. I am excited to explore the new terminal, but first, a fond farewell to a place that has been part of my life for nearly four decades.
Thus, it was only fitting that my final arrival at the old Burbank terminal was on Alaska Airlines from Seattle. The same airline, the same two airports, but in the opposite direction…and quite a few flights in between.
I recorded the landing and my walk out of the terminal for the final time. Neither would ordinarily warrant much attention, but this time I wanted to preserve them.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
