Korean Air finalized a $36 billion Boeing order. Days later, Boeing’s own CEO told investors the 737 Max production ramp is running late.

However, just two days later,at Morgan Stanley’s investor conference, Boeing CEO, Kelly Ortberg, told analysts that its goal of stabilizing 737-MAX production at the long-promised rate of 47 airplanes per month is taking “a little bit longer” than expected. Boeing shares fell as much as 6% intraday and closed down 4.5%, the stock’s worst single day since May 2026.
