My goal this year has been to get my BA Avios stash down to a reasonable level and use the Gold Upgrade vouchers that I earned the other year, which have already been extended once.
You have to be very careful with BA awards where you start the trip, as their fuel/carrier surcharges can be utterly ridiculous, except from certain countries, such as Brazil where they are banned.
