In May 2025, Alaska Airlines added a new airline partner, in the form of Philippine Airlines. While the two airlines have now had a partnership for well over a year, we’ve finally seen the ability to redeem points added, which is long overdue, and pretty exciting.

Philippine Airlines offers a variety of flight options between Alaska’s hubs and Manila (MNL). You’ll find the most connectivity into Alaska’s network in Honolulu (HNL), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), and Seattle (SEA), though the airline also flies to Chicago (ORD) and New York (JFK). From Manila, passengers can connect to all kinds of other destinations, especially within Asia.

Also keep in mind that Philippine Airlines plans to join the oneworld alliance in 2027, but this partnership with Alaska came well ahead of that, as Alaska has long focused on strategic partnerships.
