American Airlines’ 737 MAX 8 First Class is not going to win awards for innovation, but on a recent flight from Dallas to Burbank, a comfortable seat and a fantastic Texas barbecue dinner made for a very pleasant journey and the subject of this week’s Minute Review.
There’s nothing particularly revolutionary about the Oasis and seat and many hate it, but at least it’s a standard domestic recliner with more legroom than economy class, power, storage, and individual air vents. For a flight of a few hours, though, it gets the job done just fine. I know some of you think this should not be called “first class” or even “business class” (since it is similar to an international premium economy seat), but AA markets this flight as first class so that’s what I’m calling it.
But the real reason I booked this particular flight was dinner.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
