I introduced my children to Green Lake, Wisconsin this year, taking them along for a lovely autumn trip to visit a dear friend and see a part of the country they do not normally get a taste of.
My kids have been asking for years to come along, so this year I decided to take them. From Chicago O’Hare, it’s about a three hour drive to Green Lake. This was part of a larger family trip, which I’ll share more about later.
We stopped at Portillo’s for some Chicago style hot dogs…Augustine loved them, Claire Marie not so much.
